About this scrapbook page: |
I came across this poem today and wanted to share it with my friends on SBF. With the holidays coming up it's going to be hard on many of us. This maybe your first holiday season without your mom or dad, or husband, or child. It's during these hard times that God wants us to draw near to him. Hope each of you who are hurting can find a measure of comfort from the words of Helen Steiner Rice.

I had added this to my favorites when you first posted it, as I had lost my Mom just a few months before and it brought me such comfort. Now my father has passed away also and I am so glad that I had this saved in my favorites, so that I can again be reminded of God's loving comfort. Thank you so very much!!

Amen sis. We do turn more to God when we hurt than we do when we're happy. I know I"ve learned and grown because of that classroom of pain. Helen S. Rice is such a great poet too. I love her work.
