Another of the poems which I wrote in the 1990's. It was a very cold winter and we lived on a very isolated farm, miles from anywhere. We were 'marooned' for several days due to deep snowdrifts. I could only imagine that when the summer came we'd remember the beauty of the countryside in which we lived, and this poem describes what my thoughts were then.
