GIMP and other programs

I see Rainbow uses GIMP, I sometimes use GIMP, but I am still learning. I don't use any other program apart from the SBF program. What does everyone else use? As a relative new comer I still struggle with such simple things as how to rotate an embellishment.

I 'use' Photoshop and CorelDraw Graphic Suite. Photoshop is great, but too advance for my brain, Corel is much better to my liking. Many a times I know what I want, but the programme I use, cannot do the task (rather I do not know how to do it) then I hop to another programme, where I know I have better control.I find ping-ponging between the programmes fascinating.

During the past month, I looked at various programs and started with Scrapbook Factory De Luxe. There I learnt most of the basics and then moved on to Corel. I haven't tried GIMP. What about you others?

Hi there, me again. "What I haven't got in my head, I must repeat through my fingers." The program is not Corel but Ulead PhotoImpact. Sorry if I lead you down a wrong lane.

I am very satisfied with Ulead's PhotoImpact. I got it from our son, as a present, instead of "stuff" for my birthday. It has everything I need, at the present moment.

I'm working the most of the time wit Photo Collage Platinum 1.53 and it's a wonderful program, very easy in use. Not so expensive.
If someone want to have this software you can say it than I can sent you the link, ok.

Gr. Vera.

I use SBF, Photoshop, Picasa2 and Arcsoft Collage Creator! I don't know what GIMP is. Can anyone help me?
Thank you! Claudia

Justjane says:
Claudia, GIMP is a free photo manipulation program, you can also create your own backgrounds etc. I don't find it very user friendly and you really have to play around with it in order to get the desired effect.
