Well, while I don't fully understand what a *spending* fast is, I do know we can receive spiritual inspiration. The Lord does love us. I hope you can get what you need from this fast. I will be thinking of you. :)

The fast was great learned alot saved about 700.00 just in time for christmas but the group all together saved about 30,000.00

Here is how it works you can only spend money on things you need like rent elect gas food. you can't buy anything that is not needed. When you go to town you make sure you do alot of running not just to one place. Write all the needs down and follow it and spend nothing else. (The things we buy are things that will fill a need that is more of a want.) I'm a star bucks fan I saved over 35.00 dollars a week. I like movies save over 25.00 and so on what a learning process. There is things that I have already in my home that I forgot about. Had fun finding things.

If you are able to honestly differentiate between your needs and wants you should be able to save money. I used to be extremely materialistic but have changed my ways drastically. So I guess I am practicing a "spending fast" on a daily basis. My husband and I have been able to save 11k since last December so it does work. Digital scrapping is virtually FREE so that has become an obsession for me and my husband loves that. I'm not saying that we don't occasionally get ourselves something extra that we want, but it's not very often. I am doing this as a personal goal so I can buy a house at the end of the year, so I do have a driving motivation behind it.
