| About this scrapbook page: |
Maria Makiling, the most known nymph in Philippine Mythology, is supposedly the guardian of the crooked mountain, Mount Makiling in Laguna Philippines. She is described as a breathtakingly beautiful young woman who never ages, has light olive skin, long shining black hair and twinkling eyes. There are many legends and superstitions associated with Maria Makiling. In many stories, she is characterized as a spurned or rejected lover.
