I too got my youngest dog, a little shih tzu/bijon frise cross, Brandy, at 8 weeks old, a few days before my Dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he only lived 3 more weeks. My little pup was probably the greatest help for me getting through this...I never knew I could love a pup so much...thank you for sharing your story, I am sorry for the loss of your husband. tracy
